Elaine (Jorgensen) Dalton – Author and Support
Elaine Dalton received a BA from Harding University in 1974. She taught high school science in public schools for twelve years. Elaine has experience teaching both children’s and ladies’ Bible classes in the United States, Ukraine, and India. Elaine and her husband, David, have been married since 1974 and have four married children with Christian spouses that are involved in the work of the church; all are writers in this series.
Lindsay (Payne) Dalton – Author
Lindsay Dalton is a homemaker and a stay-at-home mom. She lives in Gilt Edge, Tennessee with her husband Daniel, son Shaz, and two daughters: Katie Jane and Haddie Ruth. Daniel preaches for the church of Christ in Gilt Edge.
Marla (Ballou) Dalton – Author
Marla received her bachelor degree in linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin and also has a masters degree in information science from the University of Tennessee. From 2003-2011, she worked in the Human Resources Training Dept. at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She coordinated the new hire orientation, employee satisfaction survey, and other training programs. She is a currently a homemaker and lives in Crossville, Tennessee, where her husband preaches for the Lantana church of Christ.
Stacey (May) Dalton – Author
Stacey (May) Dalton is a native resident of Columbia, TN. Stacey graduated with a Bachelors of Social Work from Freed-Hardeman University in 2006 and graduated with a Masters of Social Work from the University of Tennessee in 2008. Stacey joined the Dalton family in 2006 when she married James. They have one son, Isaac, and twin girls, Chara Mae and Chloe Anna. Stacey is a Licensed Certified Social Worker in the state of Arkansas and has experience as a therapist working with young children with anxiety disorders, childhood trauma, and ADHD among other mental health issues. Stacey has experience in teaching children’s Bible classes, mentoring young girls, and assisting in various community organizations.
Kelly (Neal) Davis – Author
Kelly (Neal) Davis is a native of Cookeville, Tennessee. She graduated from Tennessee Technological University. She has been a public school teacher since 1995. Kelly and her husband, Ricky, have one son. They live in Cookeville, TN and are members of the Algood church of Christ.
Linda Huffman – Author
Linda Huffman is a native of Woodsfield, Ohio. She graduated from Harding University with a degree in elementary education. She later added a special education endorsement from the University of Memphis and taught special education for 20 years. She and her husband, Rick, are now retired and live in Gilt Edge, TN. They have two sons, Ricky and Adam, and worship at the Gilt Edge church of Christ. She has taught VBS classes for many years.
Karen Knight – Author
Karen Knight was born in Saint Joseph, Michigan. After her first two years of college she married Joshua Knight (one of the artists for Family Bible Publications). Then she attended Tennessee Tech University where she earned a BBA degree in accounting. Karen has taught a Bible class in a congregation setting, as well as a Bible class at a Bible camp in Indiana where she met her husband Joshua. Karen and Joshua have one son.
Pam Knight – Author
Pam Knight received a BA in education from Tennessee State University in 2001 and a MA in education from Cumberland University in 2002. She has taught in public schools in both elementary and middle school settings. Pam also has taught various age groups in children’s Bible classes. She and her husband, Hal, have been married since 1984. They have two married sons with Christian wives, and three grandchildren.
Sarah (Dalton) Leland – Author
Sarah (Dalton) Leland graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington Missouri and went on to graduate with a BS degree in Math from Freed-Hardeman University. After graduation, she married Troy Leland and moved to Austin, Texas. While in Texas, she took classes with Troy at Southwest School of Biblical Studies. She now lives in Independence, Missouri where she teaches Bible classes at the Sugar Creek congregation where her husband Troy serves as a preacher. She and Troy together homeschool their children, Abigail, Elizabeth, Jeremiah, Tabitha, and Hannah..
Sandra Rose – Author
Sandra Rose is married to David Rose and they have two daughters: Kelsey who is married to Jason Simpson and Alison who is married to Alex Courington and who recently graduated from Freed Hardeman University. Sandra and David worship at the Lantana church of Christ in Crossville, Tennessee where she has taught nursery class for many years. Sandra is now teaching a Junior/Teenage girl class. Sandra currently works with her husband in their business, Tennessee Building Stone, Inc. Sandra is a graduate of Roane State Community College with an AS in Business.
